Rob Mastrantonio

Professional Overview

Rob Mastrantonio has been the President of the Construction Division for Assured Partners for the past six years. His company is part of a national family of independent insurance brokers that form AssuredPartners, Inc., the nation’s 11th biggest independent insurance brokerage business. With over 190 locations in 34 states and England, this organization has built a reputation for collaborating with regional and local insurance providers who share their service commitment. They have been featured in Business Insurance along with the 100 Largest Brokers in the U.S. and are known for building lasting client relationships.

In his current role, Rob oversees the placement of owners’ and contractors’ protective liability, workers’ compensation, professional liability, and builder’s risk, among other policies for construction managers, trade contractors, design-builders, and small and large-scale general contractors. His coverage area spans New York, Connecticut, Eastern Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. As a risk-assessor, Rob counsels his clients regarding strategies and conducts a complete assessment of all compensation provisions. 

Rob began his education at SUNY Stony Brook campus, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics & Statistics. Rob’s first job after graduation was as an underwriter for Chubb Insurance Company. After several years, Rob began broadening his experience by taking on the combined challenges of marketing and underwriting, working for CNA Insurance Company, where he marketed CNA customized programs to over 50 insurance agencies throughout Long Island.  

While employed with CNA, Rob attended the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College to pursue his law degree. He passed the New York State bar and then took a role as a Broker and Sales Associate for Island Risk Management. Here, Rob spent years learning the process of developing genuine client/insurer relationships and the ins and outs of overwriting. Rob handled every aspect of coverage recommendations, including comparing quotes to assessing risk.  

Rob Mastrantonio received his New York State brokers license and assumed the role of President and CEO of Omni Risk Management. For close to a decade, he and his team of 25 trained professionals fully serviced the Tri-State area, specializing in property & casualty insurance as well as bonds for contractors. Throughout these years, Rob expanded his skillset and gained more knowledge about overwriting and the due diligence required before making policy recommendations. In addition to its talented employees, the company was successful because of its high levels of customer service, complete transparency, and attention to detail. Many relationships stemming from that time remain to this day. He also co-authored a book, What to do when Construction Projects go Bad in New York, lending his legal perspective.  

Rob Mastrantonio was chosen from a select few to participate in a two-year academic study at The Energeia Partnership at Molloy College in East Farmingdale, NY. This organization selects a diverse group of leaders from every employment sector of Long Island – public, private, and not-for-profit – and uses fresh perspectives and diverse opinions to combat Long Island’s severe social and environmental issues. Due to his contributions, Rob received The Energeia Partnership-Long Island Trustee award.
